Jorge is an absolute lover of the sea. When he is on board a ship he grows up, his heart beats faster and you immediately realise that he is in his natural environment, in his essence, in the place where he is most alive, most connected, most at ease.

He was born into a family of sailors and his childhood games, his adventures and his first explorations took place at sea on his parents’ sailing boat. His most intense moments have always been linked in one way or another to the sea.

He studied mechanics, electricity and skippering and his professional life soon developed in different nautical companies, where he worked as a rigger, maintenance manager and skipper. He is also a passionate sailor and has participated in many regattas, with very good results in some of the most important ones such as the Copa del Rey and Palmavela.

Throughout his working life he has sailed thousands of miles both solo and with crew, on sailing boats and motor yachts of all types and sizes, so he has a vast experience on all kinds of boats. His versatility and ability to adapt make him a rather peculiar case in a world where specialisation is the norm (whoever knows how to sail a sailing boat hardly has any experience in motor boats and vice versa).
In 2012, realising the difficulties that many people had in approaching the sea and sailing at a reasonable cost, he set up his own company, the Skipper Sailing Club, with the aim of transmitting his passion to his clients and helping them to enjoy the sea and sailing. His sociable and extrovert character, together with his eagerness to improve and meticulously maintain his boats, his teaching skills, and above all his willingness to serve, have managed to build a family club, with fluid communication between members and staff, and a fleet of boats always maintained in perfect sailing conditions, in which his slogan: “Enjoy the sea, we take care of the rest”, is a reality every day.
